Design & Build an RC Car

About this workshop

This 2-day camp is a chance for your child to design and build their own RC robot car, completely from scratch. Whether they want to build a sports car, a Monster Truck or a Convertible, they will have the freedom and support to bring their own ideas to life. It is a chance for them to build a machine with their bare hands, learn electronics and real-world physics through play, and stretch their creative muscles and communication skills through stories. They will also get comfortable with maker tools like pen knives, hot glue guns, cardboard and working with upcycled materials. All facilitated by a robotics engineer and respectful/mindful educator who help kids connect with their creativity and support their mental and emotional wellbeing. No prior experience needed! Classes sizes are also kept small (max. 6 students and 2 facilitators) to ensure each child gets the attention they need. All participants will receive a certificate of completion, and can also take home the RC car that they build. NOTE: Participants are required to bring a smartphone or tablet for this camp.
